Just a day ago, we saw leaks of the Radeon RX 9070 XT, which showed its performance in benchmark tests. Based on the scores, it is likely going to be a fairly powerful graphics card in the midrange segment. Now, another leak reveals the expected price range of this card, and the deal just gets better.
The leak originates from the same platform we got the performance leaks from — Chiphell (via HXL on X). It seems like the Radeon RX 9070 XT might fall in the range of $479 to $549, as per the discussions on the forum.
The former will be the price tag of the AMD reference card, while the latter will belong to the AIB ones. Rasterization performance equivalent to that of RTX 4080 Super around this price sounds like a good deal.
If you are unaware, rasterization refers to the process of converting a vector image to a raster image. Raster images include file types like GIFs, JPEGs, PNGs, etc. Vector images, on the other hand, are usually SVG files.
Coming back to the topic, it should be noted that this is still just a rumor. Although the price tags are roughly what we expect them to be, last-minute changes are also possible. If they turn out to be true after all, NVIDIA may have to face some tough competition in the midrange segment.
