Though the Wireless charging feature didn’t make it to the AQUOS S3, the higher variant seems to be compatible with wireless charging compliant with the Qi standard formulated by the Wireless Power Consortium.
The other specs are expected to be the same as the regular variant which featured a 6-inch display with FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It had an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a stunning screen-to-body ratio of 91%. The rear sports a dual camera setup of 13MP + 12MP configuration while the front offers a 16MP camera. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and is backed by a 3200 mAh battery. It supported VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and a rear fingerprint sensor.
The pricing would be significantly increased and looking at the flagship level specs we can expect it to be priced in the higher end segment. Currently, there is no other information regarding other specs or availability of the smartphone. We will be covering more from the event on June 7.
