AT&T has launched the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE in the US with a promotion that cuts the phone’s effective monthly payment to just $2.43. The offer is available to new and existing AT&T customers who add a new line and order online, with no trade-in required.
The deal applies to the Galaxy S26 FE’s $699.99 starting configuration and uses bill credits spread across a 36-month installment agreement. That makes the promotion substantially cheaper than the phone’s standard $19.45 monthly installment price.
AT&T confirms the $2.43 monthly price
AT&T’s official Galaxy S26 FE listing currently shows the 128GB model at $2.43 per month under the promotional offer, down from $19.45 per month. The carrier says the offer requires a new line and an eligible plan, with the promotional price applied through credits over 36 months.
The key detail is that the phone isn’t being sold outright for $2.43 per month. Customers first place the device on a 0% APR, 36-month installment agreement, with bill credits reducing the effective monthly cost. AT&T says well-qualified customers can get the phone with $0 down, although taxes on the full retail price are due at purchase.
The promotion starts September 4 and does not require customers to trade in another phone. AT&T’s terms also state that credits can take up to three billing cycles to begin appearing.
That distinction matters because the $2.43 figure depends on keeping the qualifying service active for the full promotional period.
Existing customers have different upgrade pricing
AT&T is using different pricing depending on how the Galaxy S26 FE is purchased.
Customers adding a new line and ordering online can get the phone for $2.43 per month with no trade-in. New customers can get the phone for $7.99 per month when adding a line in an AT&T store.
Existing AT&T customers upgrading an existing line can get the Galaxy S26 FE for $12.99 per month, again without a trade-in. AT&T confirms all three offers in its launch announcement.
The carrier is also offering up to $800 toward an existing phone balance for customers switching to AT&T, subject to its requirements. That incentive is separate from the Galaxy S26 FE’s $2.43 monthly promotion.
What the Galaxy S26 FE brings
The Galaxy S26 FE is Samsung’s latest Fan Edition model, sitting below the company’s main Galaxy S26 flagship range while retaining several higher-end features.
The phone has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, uses Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor, and comes with 8GB of RAM, with storage options extending to 256GB.
The rear camera system includes a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera. The telephoto lens provides 3x optical zoom, while Samsung also includes its newer image-processing and Galaxy AI features.
The 4,900mAh battery supports 45W wired charging. The phone also has a vapor chamber for cooling and a lightweight design using Gorilla Glass Victus+ and an aluminum frame.
Samsung is promising up to seven generations of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, giving the S26 FE a longer software runway than many phones in the same price class.
The catch is the 36-month commitment
The $2.43 figure looks unusually low, but AT&T’s billing structure is familiar for carrier promotions.
The customer remains responsible for the underlying device installment agreement. The promotional credits reduce the monthly bill rather than eliminating the original device balance. If the customer cancels the qualifying service, AT&T says the credits stop, and the remaining device balance becomes due.
There is also a $35 activation fee, while taxes and other charges can apply. Customers adding a line should therefore look at the total wireless bill rather than treating $2.43 as the complete cost of obtaining the phone.
For someone already planning to add an AT&T line and stay with the carrier for three years, however, the promotion changes the value equation considerably. The Galaxy S26 FE normally starts at $699.99, yet the effective device payment drops to less than a monthly streaming subscription.
AT&T’s promotion also pressures Samsung’s pricing and competing carrier offers. The $2.43 figure is specifically tied to the new-line online offer, so shoppers upgrading an existing AT&T line will need to compare the $12.99 monthly rate against other Galaxy S26 FE promotions before committing to 36 months.
