ZTE Z999 Spotted on TENAA with Dual Displays

Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE is not unfamiliar with dual-screen smartphones. The company launched the dual-screen ZTE Axon M this year in October. Now, it looks like ZTE will launch more dual-screen devices. A ZTE device with model no. ZTE Z999 has been spotted on TENAA.

As for the smartphone’s specs, the dual TFT screen measures 5 inches each and carries a resolution of FHD( 1080 x 1920 pixels). A Quad-core powers it clocked at 2.18 GHz. The device will offer two memory variants: 4 GB RAM + 64 GB internal storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage.

Since the device can fold in the middle hinge, there is only one camera sensor of 20 MP, along with an LED flash. It will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and be backed by a 3,180 mAh battery. The device measures 150.8 × 71.64 × 12.1 mm and weighs 230 g. The device is mentioned to be available only in black color.

The device looks like a smaller version of the ZTE Axon M with almost similar specs. The device was priced at Rs 46,999, so we can expect the ZTE Z999 to cost around Rs 35,000, competing against the popular flagship models. Also, the devices will be getting a lot of competition from the other manufacturers. Microsoft recently obtained a patent for a foldable smartphone that bears striking resemblances to the Z999. Only Microsoft will be providing higher specs. Microsoft, Apple, OPPO, Huawei, and Samsung are also developing their foldable smartphone, and many plans to launch them next year.
