ZTE Nubia Z18 with Full Screen 3.0 Teased Officially in Weibo

Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE has a knack for sleek border-less phones, which started with the launch of the Nubia Z9 in 2005 and continuing to the launch of the Nubia Z17 last year, which came with a 2.1 Full-Screen design and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.36%. Now, it aims to be a completely different smartphone that eliminates all the bezels.

The company teased an image on the official account on the Chinese media platform Weibo. The image reads “Full Screen 3.0,” along with an outline of the smartphone. We can safely assume the borderless device has passed the manufacturing stage and is on the verge of unveiling. It is speculated that the selfie camera is placed at the top of the display in the middle, akin to the Essential PH-1, which has a smaller notch. A notch also means the company joins the list of Android smartphone manufacturers following the notch design of last year’s Apple iPhone X.

The device is the Nubia Z18 flagship, speculated to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 8 GB RAM. Currently, there is no information about the price or availability of the smartphone. The predecessor, Z17 and Z11, were launched in June, so we can expect the smartphone to hit the markets by this month or the next.
