Today, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi listed the Redmi 6 Pro on its official website before tomorrow’s launch. It’s being advertised as the “New flagship of Thousand Yuan” and is the first Redmi series smartphone featuring the Liu Hai screen design. The smartphone follows the latest trend of having an upper notch but can be hidden with a key.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Specifications
As for the specs, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro features a 5.84-inch display with a resolution of FHD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The display has 500 nit brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 84% NTSC color gamut coverage. Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset is available in two configurations: 3 GB RAM + 32 GB internal storage and 4GB RAM + 64 GB internal storage, which is further expandable up to 256 GB.
In the optics department, the smartphone sports an AI-powered dual camera setup on the rear of 12MP + 5MP configuration, which has a f/2.2 aperture, 1.25-micron pixel, supports PDAF phase focus, HDR mode, and AI beautification. It offers a 5MP camera sensor on the front that supports portrait mode, AI smart beauty, and AI face unlocking.
It runs on MIUI 9, with built-in AI to identify and translate prices and more. It is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with 5V/2A that delivers up to 16.5 hours of standard video playback, 7.5 hours of games, and 34 hours of call time. Connectivity features include Infrared remote control, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2, a 3.5 mm jack, and a dual nano-SIM card slot that supports full Netcom 3.0.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Price & Availability
It is available in Red, Gold, Blue, Black, and Rose Gold color options. As for the price, the 3GB/32GB variant costs 999 Yuan (Rs 10,500 approx), while the higher 4GB/64GB comes at a price tag of 1299 Yuan (Rs 13,500 approx). It will go on sale on June 26 at 10 AM.
