Best Xiaomi Mi and Redmi 5G Phones for 2022
Among the devices in the list, there are a few that can be regarded as the best of the lot. Below we have discussed our top picks for 2021.
1. Xiaomi Mi 11
This device launched just a few weeks ago in the global market and it is undoubtedly the best device from Xiaomi available right now. We get a curved AMOLED panel that comes with 6.81-inches and a 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution. The display supports a 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate. It is the first in the world to be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 processor. The Mi 11 is backed by a 4600 mAh battery capacity that supports 55W fast wired charging. For photography, we have a 108MP wide-angle camera unit as the primary sensor coupled with a 13MP ultrawide angle camera and a 5MP Telemacro camera.
2. Xiaomi Mi 11X
Xiaomi’s Mi 11X arrives with flagship-grade features such as a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 870 7nm chipset with Adreno 650 GPU. We get a 48MP main camera that has a 1/ 1.2″ Sony IMX582 sensor along with an f/1.79 aperture. Other units include 8MP 119° ultra-wide-angle and 5MP telemacro. It draws power from a 4520 mAh battery that supports 33W wired QC3 + / PD3.0 fast charging. We also see a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Infrared sensor, Dual speakers, Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C audio, and Hi-Res audio. In India, the Mi 11X comes with a price tag of Rs 29999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option.
3. Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G
It has a beautiful curved 6.67 inch AMOLED 90Hz FHD+ display. In terms of hardware, you get the best for Android with the Snapdragon 865 along with 8GB of DDR5 RAM. The USP of this device is the main sensor in the back which is a whopping 108MP sensor capable of capturing some detailed pictures. Along with you get a 20MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP depth sensor, and an 8MP telephoto sensor capable of 5x optical, 10x hybrid, and 50x digital zoom. You can even shoot videos at 8K with the main sensor.
4. Xiaomi Mi 10 5G
Priced just a bit lower than the pro version, the Mi 10 5G offers a somewhat similar experience but with some compromises in the optics department. The rest of the hardware is quite similar, with just changes in the internal storage. The Pro variant comes with 256GB of UFS 3.0 but the non-pro version comes with 128GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Moving on to the cameras, the 108MP sensor stays there in the non-pro model too but there is no telephoto camera here. Instead, you get a 13MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP Macro sensor. Also, the Mi 10 has a slightly bigger battery of 4780 mAh as compared to the Pro with the 4,500 mAh battery.
5. Redmi K30 Pro 5G
This is the cheapest Snapdragon 865 device on this list and offers a great value for its price. It comes with a 6.67 inch FHD+ AMOLED display but the refresh rate is set at 60Hz. Besides that, there is a huge 4700 mAh battery and together with a 60Hz refresh rate, this should easily last on a full charge for a long time. In the optics, we get the Sony IMX686 64MP sensor with OIS, an 8MP telephoto lens, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is also a 20MP pop-up sensor. So anyone looking for a fullscreen experience without a notch or a hole will be pleased with this device.
6. Redmi K30 5G
This is the cheapest 5G device on this list and it surely cuts some corners to justify the pricing. Here, instead of the Snapdragon 865, we get the Snapdragon 765G which is a 5G capable chip too. Other than that, the rest of the specifications are quite to the Pro version. Here instead of an AMOLED panel, you get an IPS panel, but the refresh rate is at 120Hz. The size and resolution remain the same. Again, in terms of cameras, we get a 64MP+8MP+2MP+5MP setup with the main Sony sensor, a wide-angle sensor, a depth sensor, and a Macro sensor. Here there is a punch-hole cutout for the two selfie cameras though.
7. Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite
This device also comes with a Snapdragon 765G processor and is priced quite lower than the other Mi 10 devices. Additionally, we have a 6.57 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 60 Hz refresh rate. The rest of the specifications are quite unclear about the device though, as all we know about the cameras is that it is a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP main sensor. There is a 4160 mAh battery with support for 20W charging.
8. Redmi 10X Pro 5G
This comes with the all-new and powerful MediaTek Dimensity 820 processor which is quite a promising processor from MediaTek. It falls under the premium mid-range segment. The device houses a 6.57 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and 800 nits of peak brightness. We also get a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP telephoto sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP Macro sensor. At the front, we get a 20MP selfie shooter. The telephoto sensor is capable of 3x optical, 5x hybrid, and 30x digital zoom.
