We all have heard about stock Android at some point in life. So, what exactly is stock Android? Stock Android means the pure Android experience without any bloatware 3rd party apps pre-installed. It’s the cleanest Android you can get. A lot of users prefer stock Android rather than having a UI over it. Android One, or stock Android, was developed by Google to provide a clean OS experience to users.
Xiaomi was the first to receive Android One, and Mi A1 was the first to get it. After that, Xiaomi launched two more smartphones in its Mi A series. The Mi A3 is the third phone in its franchise and was launched back in 2019.
Is your Xiaomi Mi A3 eligible for Android 11?
- Yes, the Xiaomi Mi A3 will likely get the next-generation Android 11 OS update.
With the launch of the Google Android 11 final version in early September 2020, the Mi A3 users are worried about getting the new Android 11. Xiaomi Mi A3 was launched with the stock Android 9 Pie, and later, after several minor updates for major bug fixes, it finally got updated to bugless stock Android 10 (V18.104.22.168.QFQMIXM). The stock or Android One is empowered to receive two major OS upgrades along with three years of security updates. So, as per this theory, Mi A3 has one quota left for a major OS upgrade. Moreover, since the device is a part of the Android One program, the device will not get the new MIUI 12.
What does the Mi community moderator have to say?
We double-checked whether the Mi A3 is eligible for Android 11 or not, and we came across a recent comment made by Xiaomi’s moderator in one of the community posts. One of the users asked whether the Mi A3 will get the Android 11 update or not. The moderator, in response, replied that since the device is an Android One device, it will surely get Android 11. Furthermore, the moderator said that they are not sure about the specific date of the Android 11 rollout for Mi A3.
