Xiaomi Mi A1 Red Colour Edition Arrives in India at Rs 12,999

Mi A1 is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory

Xiaomi Mi A1 has impressed users since launch in September. The dual rear camera setup is considered one of the best in its segment. Taking note of the holiday season, Xiaomi has launched the new Xiaomi Mi A1 Special Edition Red in India. The launch comes ahead of the company’s Mi No 1 Fan sale, which the company says will start from December 20 to December 21.

The Xiaomi Mi A1, Special Edition Red variant, features a vibrant shade of red with clear separating lines. Keeping aside the new paint job, other specs of the device remain the same as the regular version. The device sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution. Powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, it offers 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory.

Xiaomi Mi A1 biggest attraction is its dual camera setup on the back consisting two 12 MP camera sensor one with a wide-angle, f/2.2 lens and in 1.25-micron pixel sensor and the other one with an f/2.6 aperture telephoto lens  Also it offers 2X optical zoom. The front offers a 5 MP camera sensor on the front with a real-time beautification mode. The bokeh mode is one of the best seen at this price.

The device runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system with stock UI with the Mi Camera app, Mi Feedback and Mi Home app preloaded and is backed by a 3080 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. With the addition of the Special Red Edition, the device is available in four colours- Black, Gold, Rose Gold being the other three. Last month only Xiaomi launched the Rose Gold option.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 Special Edition Red comes with a price tag of Rs 12,999 (after getting a cut of Rs 1000) and will available in Mi.com and Flipkart from December 20. The device will also be available through all Mi Home stores, Mi Preferred Partner stores, and retail partner stores.
