The new smartphone is ready to take on Razer gaming smartphone
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of its gaming smartphone on April 13. The smartphone being is developed by joining hands with Black Shark Technology, a game production company owned by Xiaomi only. The smartphone will directly compete with the Razer phone launched last year in November and the rumoured gaming smartphone from ASUS.
The new report comes from TechRadar, who has got its hands on an official invite which confirms the device’s launch date. The invite, however, does not reveal anything about the specs or any other feature and other information about the smartphone is very scarce.
The Xiaomi Black Shark was first spotted in Feb this year on the benchmarking website Antutu. The listing revealed the smartphones would feature a display with FHD+ ( 2160 x 1080 pixel) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with 8 GB RAM and 32 GB storage and likely to feature expandable memory options through micro SD card. There is also a good possibility the smartphone will be available in either 64 GB or 128 GB internal memory variants. It will run on Android 8.0 Oreo.Unfortunately, Antutu doesn’t reveal any score for single core and multi-core tests but reveals a total point score on which the smartphone scored a whopping 270680 points.
Another leak from Weibo suggests that the device will come either with or compatible controller. This will be something new and not seen on the Razer gaming phone.
As for now, the price and availability remain a mystery, and we are yet to get an official announcement from the company. But given the flagship level specs and the rare segment, there may be only a few pieces and launch in only certain markets. So hurry up and grab yours on April 13.
