Nowadays users get attracted to customized UI more than stock Android and users also prefer it because they get more features and apps than a stock ROM. Most of the smartphone manufactures now opt for their customized UI. Vivo is also one of them. Vivo’s customized OS is known as Funtouch OS. The latest version of Funtouch OS 10 which is based on Android 10 is yet to arrive on some of the devices of Vivo.
Vivo V11 Pro, Vivo S1 (Indian Version) and Vivo Z1 Pro users still didn’t get to enjoy the latest version of the OS. In a few tweets recently, many users asked whether their V11 Pro, S1, and Z1 Pro will get the lastest Funtouch OS 10 or not. Their reply was the same for all. The customer support stated that Vivo has not planned to update the devices as the current devices are stable enough.
Giving the reason for COVID-19 pandemic for delays is understandable but straightforwardly stating that they have not yet planned the updates is pretty strange. However, Vivo suggested that they will keep updating the current Funtouch OS as always.
Vivo Z1 Pro and Vivo S1 were launched back in 2019 with Android 9 Pie with Funtouch OS 9 skin on top of it. All the smartphone companies give at least two major OS updates for two years. So according to these update cycle rules, these two devices are eligible for the update and it will be their first major update. They just have to wait for an extended period to enjoy the latest features of Android 10.
As for the Vivo V11 Pro, the phone was launched back in 2018 with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. After that, it got updated to Android 9 Pie, so as per rule the Android 10 will be the last update for this device. But as per a shared screenshot from a user via Piunikaweb, the chat support completely disagreed about the update for V11 Pro and told that it won’t get updated to Android Q (Android 10).
Talking about the Funtouch OS 10, it is packed with lots of fo cool features. The features like the weather display for two different places, earthquake warning features, new live wallpapers, redesigned minimal UI, animated lock screen, and improved system performance are what drives the users crazy for the update.
We would recommend not to lose hope by solely trusting the chat support of Vivo and wait for a shred of solid evidence coming directly from the Vivo company officially. Till then stay tuned, we will let you know about any further updates about the update. Until then stay safe and stay home.
