Verizon customers who subscribe to Apple services through the carrier’s perk system will soon pay more each month. The company has updated its support documentation to confirm that several Apple-related perks will see price increases beginning September 1, 2026, following Apple’s recent adjustments to the pricing of its subscription services.
The changes come after Apple raised the prices of several subscription plans, including Apple Music Individual, Apple Music Family, Apple One Family, and Apple One Premier. While Apple had already increased the cost of these services, Verizon initially kept its perk pricing unchanged, leading many customers to wonder whether the carrier would eventually pass those higher costs on to subscribers.
Verizon Confirms New Pricing
According to Verizon’s updated FAQ, the following monthly prices will take effect on September 1, 2026:
- Apple Music Family: $10/month → $13/month
- Apple One Family: $20/month → $23/month
- Apple Bundle with Simplicity (Family): $20/month → $23/month
Verizon said the adjustments are necessary as Apple continues to invest in new content and updates the pricing of its subscription services.
The carrier stated:
“At Verizon, we’re dedicated to bringing you the best entertainment for the best price. As our partners at Apple invest in new content and adjust the rates of their services, we periodically need to adjust our perk rates.”
Good News for 5G Get More Customers
Not every Apple-related benefit is changing.
Verizon’s updated FAQ makes no mention of changes to the Apple Music benefit included with the legacy 5G Get More plan, indicating that eligible customers will continue to receive the subscription at no additional charge.
Because Apple recently raised the standalone price of Apple Music Individual, the value of the included benefit has increased as well. Customers on the grandfathered plan now receive $11.99 in savings per month, up from $10.99.
Existing Promotional Offers Remain Available
Customers on older Verizon plans that included six months of Apple Music at no additional cost will continue to receive that promotional benefit.
However, once the complimentary six-month period ends, the recurring subscription price will reflect Apple’s latest pricing. Customers who keep the service after the trial expires will be charged $11.99 per month, up from the previous $10.99, unless they cancel.
What This Means for Consumers
For customers who rely on Verizon perks to access Apple’s subscription services, monthly costs are about to increase by $3 for the affected Family plans. While the new pricing still bundles billing through Verizon, the savings compared to subscribing directly may be smaller than before, making it a good time for households to review whether the bundled perks still offer the best value.
Meanwhile, customers on grandfathered plans such as 5G Get More remain in a favorable position. They continue to receive Apple Music at no extra cost despite Apple’s price hike, increasing the value of one of Verizon’s most popular legacy plan benefits.
Beginning September 1, Verizon’s Apple-related perks will more closely reflect Apple’s updated subscription pricing, bringing an end to the temporary period during which the carrier had absorbed the higher costs.
