Microsoft on their June 24th event has announced the all-new Windows 11 Operating System. Windows 11 offers much better stability and performance improvements on the same hardware when compared to Windows 10. Not only this, the Windows 11 brings a newly improved, and redesigned User Interface and App icons. Windows 11 brings the new Microsoft store. It now natively support Android Apps. One can directly install and use the Android apps directly from the Microsoft store. They have partnered with Amazon AppStore to provide Android apps in Windows! Now Microsoft is integrating Teams right inside Windows 11. You’ll be able to contact and start chats with people directly from the Start menu. Windows 11 also introduces a whole new screen of info.

The Microsoft Store is built for speed and with an all-new design that is beautiful and simple to use. Not only this, they’ll bring you more apps than ever before, they’re also making all content – apps, games, shows, movies – easier to search for and discover with curated stories and collections. The on-paper changes look very great, while the fans were waiting to use Windows 11 on their PC. Microsoft has announced that Windows 11 will be available as a free upgrade to selected Windows 10 PCs.
Windows 11 free upgrade
Well, if anyone wants to upgrade their PC to Windows 11, Here’s what you can do! To check whether your PC is compatible with Windows 11, download the PC Heath Check app from here. Also, the app has some issues with custom-built PCs, it might show that your device isn’t compatible with Windows 11 for your Custom Built PC. So don’t worry, you may receive it soon. The minimum system requirements for Windows 11 is a minimum of 4G of RAM and 64GB of storage with 1Ghz or more, 2cores or more, and a 64-bit chipset with a minimum TPM 1.2. Most of the modern PCs meet the requirements for Windows 11.
Rollout timeline
As for the Windows 11 rollout, the free upgrade will begin to roll out to eligible Windows 10 PCs from October 4, 2021.
Windows Insider program
And for Windows Insiders, the Windows 11 update will be available as early as starting next week for devs. The beta users will also grab the update in the coming months.
Here’s how you can get Windows 11 upgrade for free
You don’t have to do anything to get the update, it will be available to all eligible users in the same way as Windows 10 updates have been made available previously. Microsoft will be offering the same Windows 10 methods to download Windows 11, including downloading the updates through multiple sources. Later this year, consumers can download it through Microsoft’s Windows Update.
Step 1: Headover to the Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
Step 2: You need to click on the “Check for Updates” option.
Step 3: You will see “Feature update to Windows 11” (if available) and click on the “Download and install” option.
As you’re probably aware, some Windows features are now unbundled from the main OS so users can get faster updates. Rather than waiting for a full Windows update, Microsoft will be updating features like Windows widgets, native apps like Paint and Notepad via Windows Store. Windows Search is also web-based, which means these features can be updated with improvements without having to wait for larger OS-wide updates.
