What Apple Products Can We Expect in 2023?

It’s hard to predict what Apple products will be released in 2023 since Apple tends to keep its upcoming products under wraps. However, based on the company’s past product releases, we may expect to see updated versions of the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, and AirPods, as well as potential new products that haven’t yet been released. Additionally, Apple may continue to focus on augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technology.

Here is a list of all upcoming Apple products in 2023

1. iPhone 15 Series

Without any doubt, Apple will be releasing new iPhones in 2023. Like 2022, the iPhones will come in four models— the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Ultra (iPhone 15 Pro Max).

All the iPhones are said to be coming with Type-C ports. Some rumors also suggest that Apple will replace the physical buttons on the iPhone 15 series with haptic ones.

The iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus will finally eliminate the notch and feature the Dynamic Island, the A16 Bionic, and perhaps a 48MP primary camera. The iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Ultra (iPhone 15 Pro Max) shall feature the A17 Bionic and a titanium frame.

Apple will most likely release all the iPhones in September 2023.

2. Apple Watch Series 9

Like every year, Apple will also upgrade its Apple Watch lineup in 2023. The current lineup includes the Apple Watch Ultra, the Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch SE (2nd Generation).

Apple will most likely release the Apple Watch Series 9 with the S9 chip (more power-efficient) and new health sensors. We might also see the design change in the rumors since the Apple Watch Series 7.

While we could not see an updated Apple Watch SE, the Apple Watch Ultra might get an upgrade. However, this will be an incremental upgrade with the more efficient S9 chip and new health sensors.

In September, Apple will most likely release all the Apple Watches alongside the iPhones.

3. iPad 2023

We will also see a lot of iPad launches in 2023. Starting with the Pros, the iPad Pro 11-inch and 12.9-inch models will feature the Apple M3 chip and possibly a new design. We have not seen a design change to the iPad Pro since 2018. Rumors also suggest that Apple will release a larger 14.6-inch iPad Pro to compete with the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.

The base iPad 10th generation will also be getting an upgrade. We might see a chip upgrade or even support for Apple Pencil 2, the lack of which was heavily criticized by the community. There will, unfortunately, be no upgrades to the iPad Air.

Finally, Apple will release the iPad mini 7th generation. It is rumored to have a 120Hz ProMotion display, 128GB base storage, and the A15 Bionic chip.

4. MacBook Pro 2023

Apple is planning to release a lot of Macs in 2023. Pretty much all the Macs will be getting an upgrade this year.

In March, Apple is expected to release the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. The M2 Mac mini might also be released alongside the MacBook Pros. Apple is also said to be working on an M2 Pro Mac mini to succeed the Intel Mac mini currently in the lineup.

The M2 and M2 Pro (perhaps) iMacs should also launch in 2023. Apple may even bring back the iMac Pro.

The Mac Pro with the M2 Extreme chip will also launch in 2023. Finally, Apple is also planning on releasing a larger 15-inch MacBook Air with the same design as the current MacBook Air but with a larger battery or even the M3 chip. This is said to arrive by Fall 2023.

5. AirPods Max 2023

Since we recently upgraded the AirPods Pro, Apple may also update the AirPods Max. Rumors suggest that the AirPods Max (2nd Generation) will feature the new H2 chip, better noise cancellation, new colors, and all the new features that the AirPods Pro 2 has.

6. HomePod 2

Apple is also allegedly planning to release a new HomePod with a screen, much like the Google Nest Hub. This product may or may not arrive in 2023.

7. Apple AR Glasses and Mixed Reality Headset

And finally, the long-rumored Apple AR Glasses and the mixed reality headset. According to several Apple leakers, Apple is planning to showcase either the xrOS (the software for the Apple mixed reality headset) or the mixed reality headset itself during the WWDC event.

The Apple mixed reality headset is said to be powered by the M2 chip and has a 4K screen for each eye.

Final Words

So that’s pretty much it. That’s all the Apple products we expect to launch in 2023. 2023 will be a great year for Apple, at least from what we can expect now. What’s the upcoming Apple product that you are most excited about? Let us know.
