September was a hectic month; we witnessed several smartphone launches. This month, October, will also have a decent number of smartphone launches. While some phone launches will be 4G, most others will be 5G. As India just got 5G, it makes sense to launch 5G phones. This article will look at the most anticipated 5G phones that will likely launch in October 2022.

- The Redmi Note 12 series will launch on October 27, 2022 in China. The series will reportedly include the Note 12, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and Note 12 Pro Extreme Edition.
- OnePlus Nord N300 launched in the United States with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD 90Hz screen, Dimensity 810, 5000 mAh battery, and 33W charging. As for cameras, it has a 48MP primary camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the device features a 16MP sensor for selfies. The handset succeeds the Nord N200 5G device. It is available in a single color variant: Midnight Jade. It will go on sale starting November 3, 2022.

- The Honor X40 series will include a GT variant with a Snapdragon 888 chipset called Honor X40 GT. The handset will launch on October 13 in China.
- iQOO Neo 7 will go official on October 20 in China. It will be powered by Dimensity 9000+ chipset.
- Samsung W23 5G will be launched on October 21. The W23 5G will arrive as a custom version of the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
These 5G Phones are expected to Launch in October 2022
We will see a couple of exciting launches this month, including the Xiaomi 12T series, the Google Pixel 7 series, the Jio Phone 5G, and more. Let’s take a look.
1. Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro
Xiaomi’s new flagship smartphones launched globally on October 4. The Xiaomi 12T Pro features a 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED 120Hz display, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, 200MP primary camera, 20MP front camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. A vanilla version of the Xiaomi 12T also launched on the same date. And, of course, both phones are 5G equipped. When it launches, we expect the price to be around Rs 50,000 in India. The Indian launch could also be this same month.
2. Infinix Zero Ultra 5G
Inifinix launched Zero Ultra for the global markets on October 5, 2022. It packs a 6.8-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a 2400 × 1080 pixels resolution. An octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor powers the device with Mali G68 GPU. For photography, Infinix Zero Ultra sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide, and a 2MP sensor. On the front, we see a 32MP selfie shooter. It is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 180W Thunder Charge fast charging support. The Infinix Zero Ultra 8GB + 256GB is priced at $520 (approx INR 42,500).
3. Google Pixel 7 Series
Google has officially announced the launch of its next generation of Pixel phones— the Google Pixel 7 and the Google Pixel 7 Pro. Plus, Google has confirmed that these smartphones will launch in India.
The Google Pixel 7 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED 120Hz display, Google Tensor G2 chip, 50MP + 12MP + 48MP rear camera setup, and a 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. On the other hand, the Pixel 7 will feature a 6.3-inch OLED 90Hz display, a Google Tensor G2 chip, a 50MP + 12MP rear camera setup, and an 11MP front camera. The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will launch on October 6, and pre-orders will start on the same day. The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro’s expected prices are Rs 54,990 and Rs 72,990, respectively.

4. OnePlus Nord 3 5G
Another smartphone that will likely launch in October is the OnePlus Nord 3 5G. The smartphone will likely launch globally by the end of this month. As per rumors, the smartphone will have a 6.7-inch 1080p OLED 90Hz display, Dimensity 8100 Max, 50MP+8MP+2MP rear camera setup, a 16MP/32MP selfie camera, and a 4500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. The expected price of the OnePlus Nord 3 5G is Rs 29,999 in India.
5. Jio Phone 5G
One of the most anticipated 5G phones, the Jio Phone 5G, may launch in October 2022. The device is rumored to be launched alongside the rollout of Jio 5G services. Jio has confirmed that 5G services will roll out during Diwali between October 22-26. Therefore, we can expect the Jio Phone 5G to launch simultaneously.
The rumored Jio Phone 5G specs feature a 6.5-inch HD+ display, Snapdragon 480 5G chipset, 13MP + 2MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. Based on these specifications, we can expect the Jio Phone 5G to be priced at around Rs 10,000 in India.
6. iQOO Neo 7
The iQOO Neo 7 will be the successor to the flagship killer iQOO Neo 6 5G. This smartphone is expected to launch in India in October. As per rumors, the smartphone will have a 6.62-inch 1080p OLED 120Hz display, Dimensity 9000+, a 50MP primary camera, a 16MP selfie camera, and a 4500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. The expected price of the iQOO Neo 7 is Rs 39,999 in India.
7. Redmi Note 12 Series
The Redmi Note series is one of the most popular mid-range phones globally. Its next iteration, the Redmi Note 12 series, will likely launch in China this October. Plus, all the Note 12 smartphones will be 5G equipped. However, the specs have not yet been revealed. We can expect the price to be around the same as that of the Redmi Note 11 series. The smartphones will launch in India by the end of this year.
8. POCO X5 5G
The POCO X series is coming soon with the POCO X5 5G smartphone. The codename of the POCO X5 5G is “redwood.” The Snapdragon 778G+ will reportedly power it. The processor is built on a 7nm process and supports 5G connectivity. Also, it will come with a 120Hz refresh rate LCD panel. The POCO X5 5G is expected to be priced at Rs 19,999. It will be available for sale in October or by the end of this year.
