UMIDIGI, a brand well known for its flagship phones at an affordable price was founded in February 2012. After the popular UMIDIGI F2, an affordable flagship phone from last year, the company is set to bang this year with another phone in their flagship list. The company has named this year flagship as “UMIDIGI S5 Pro“, a 4G-enabled phone.
UMIDIGI S5 Pro has all that premium looks and specs a user always crave for. Since its an affordable phone, people are going to get more attracted towards it. It arrives in two variants viz. Cosmic Black & Ocean Blue. The phone has a 3D curved glass back on all the four sides which gives the phone a premium look and feel. The handset also fits perfectly in the hand.
Talking about the exciting specification and features of the phone, the S5 Pro has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ with AMOLED Ultra view display. The phone has a resolution of 2340×1080 with a 93.1% Screen-to-body Ratio. The display doesn’t have a notch or punch hole or anything which allows the users to enjoy a full display experience without any distractions. The company claims to have a super-fast In-screen fingerprint sensor.
The UMIDIGI S5 Pro sports a quad-camera setup on the back with a primary camera of 48-megapixel with f/1.79 aperture, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a field of view up to 120°, a 5-megapixel depth camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera where you can click clear closeup shots from 2 centimetres. The primary camera is equipped with the 1/2″ large image sensor, 1.6μm 4-in-1 superpixel, with which you can clear detailed pictures even in poor conditions.
Coming to the front camera, it has the trendy pop up AI camera with 16-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture. Moreover having a pop-up camera allows you to have a full-screen display.
The gaming processor MediaTek Helio G90T powers the phone coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4x dual-channel RAM. The CPU has a Cortex-A76 architecture which is a power-efficient processor. It has a 2 x A76 2.05GHz large core, 6 x A55 2.0GHz which makes it faster and powerful than the Snapdragon 730 SoC. Under the hood, it has a PC grade Liquid cooling system that doesn’t allow FPS to drop or heat the phone giving you the ultimate smooth gaming experience. For GPU, it has an ARM Mali G76.
On the battery section, it has a 4680mAh High-capacity Battery with a Type-C 18W fast charger in the box. You won’t have to worry about your phone running out of juice.
The phone has a massive storage of 256GB and support of UFS 2.1 technology which will allow you to move files around quickly.
The S5 Pro runs on the latest Android 10. They provide you with a pure stock android with the system-wide dark theme, privacy controls and so on.
Till now, the exact price is not known but you can rest assured that it will be less than 300$ (Rs.22,892 approximately in India) if it is open for sale worldwide. The company says the global sale will take place in May 2020. As of now, the S5 Pro has been listed on AliExpress with a price tag of 333.32$.
The company is going to give away ten S5 Pro devices for free in order to see the user’s experience and improve it. Until now, around 152144 entries submitted for the giveaway.
