The smartphone supports the Qi wireless charging which is available in flagship models
Taiwanese manufacturer SHARP launched the AQUOS S3 High Edition in Taiwan today. It’s the upper variant of the standard AQUOS S3 launched back on April 1. A few days earlier the company confirmed the launch. The device comes with model number FS8015.
The design of the high edition is same as the standard one with 3D curved glass with a nano-blasted aluminium alloy design. It has gained a weight a 2g (167.4g x 165.4g). The SHARP AQUOS S3 High Edition features a 6 inch IPS display with FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a stunning screen-to-body ratio of 91%. It is the world’s smallest 6 inches Full-Screen smartphone with 135% sRGB ultra-side colour gamut and a brightness of 550 nits. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660; an upgrade to the standard variants Snapdragon 630 coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal space with an option to expand it via a microSD card.
In the optics department, the smartphone sports a dual camera setup of 12MP + 13MP with f/1.75 aperture. On the front, it offers a 16MP front snapper with f/2.0 aperture. The cameras also support AI face recognition. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and is backed by a 3200 mAh battery. It supports Qi (7.5W) wireless charging technology, which is only available on flagship mobile phones and can be enjoyed directly with a charging board. Connectivity features include dual SIM, 2CA LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and more. It measures 148.2 x 74.2 x 7.98 mm.
The device comes with a price tag of 13,990 Yuan and will be available in Black and Gold colour variants. It will be available for sale on June 11 at PChome 24h, Momo Shopping network and Yahoo!
