Earlier in July, there were pictures of the Samsung device codenamed SM-G9298, which is named W2018, a successor to last year’s W2017. Today, new images of the device have surfaced online on the Chinese Social media platform Weibo. Let’s take a detailed look at each of them.
These images of the Samsung Flip Phone were uploaded to Weibo by the user Smiledesign. The device has outer and inner screens, which let it behave as a single-screen smartphone and a flip phone. The body design looks like the W2017 on the front side, but there is an addition of a Fingerprint sensor and an S8 camera module on the rear side. The camera’s left side sports an LED flash and a heart sensor. The Fast wireless charging featured in the W2017 is expected to return along with Samsung Play.
The display is expected to be 4.2 inches AMOLED with a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and supports Samsung’s Always-On Display. The device will likely run on Android 7.0 Nougat with Samsung UI on top. The device is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 821AB chipset.
Currently, there is no more news regarding this device.
