Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro 2018 Manual Appears Online; Launch Imminent

Recently, the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro 2018 renders surfaced online. Today, its user manual has appeared on the Samsung official website, which hints the device launch is at the door. The device will be the variant of the Galaxy J2 2017 that was launched in October. The device also appeared in Geekbench and GFXBench with model number SM-J250G two months ago.

The manual gives an insight into the design and the plastic casing. The design is almost similar to its predecessor, with some minor upgrades. The home key and the recent and back keys are still there. The newest addition is its flash on the front camera. The upper bezel contains the camera, flash, speaker, and proximity sensor. The device’s dimensions are 136.5 x 69.0 x 8.4 mm and weighs 130 g.

Update: Per our source, the device will be Galaxy J2 (2018); that’s not the much-rumored Galaxy J2 Pro 2018.

Out of this, the single SIM variant of SM-J250G appeared in the benchmarking websites, revealing the device will be powered by a Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 430 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz(based on Cortex-A53) along with an Adreno 308 GPU. There will be 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, of which we will get only 11 GB. The memory is expandable by micro SD.

The back of the device features an 8 MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, with features like face detection and HDR. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. Both the cameras can record and shoot 1080p videos. The device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will likely carry the same 2000 mAh battery as the 2017 Galaxy J2. Connectivity options include Bluetooth and WiFi and sensors like GPS proximity sensor, accelerometer, and altimeter. Looking at its predecessor, the device was priced at Rs 7,390, so the new upgraded version will cost somewhat around Rs 8,000.
