In February, Samsung unveiled its flagship Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones. Now, the company is planning to launch a new smartphone under its S20 family called Galaxy S20 FE 5G. It will likely be a ‘lite’ version of the regular Galaxy S20 5G and successor to the S10 Lite.
Today, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G moniker alongside its LTE variant S20 FE was spotted on the Samsung Bulgaria website, hinting at an imminent launch. The listing also shows Galaxy S20 FE/ FE 5G will get a monthly subscription to YouTube Premium.
Separately, we have spotted the Galaxy S20 FE 5G on a retail database that shows its Canadian pricing as well as color options.
From the screenshot, we can see the retail price of CAD 1148.65 (approximately CAD 1149) for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G 128GB model. The listed six color options are Lavender, Navy, Sky Green, Orange, Red and White. These color options match with previously leaked renders by Popular leakster Evan Blass.
Typically, FE and Lite edition smartphones do not arrive in the Canadian market. But, as the Canadian price has been leaked, we can expect the S20 FE 5G to come to Canada.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 5G was launched in Canada with a price tag of CAD 1399. As Galaxy S20 FE 5G is a toned-down version of regular S20 5G, a CAD 1149 price can be expected. Even we may see a lower price than the current leaked price.
It’s also worth pointing out that simply converting CAD prices to USD rarely gives us the actual price in the US. However, if we convert the CAD 1149 price, we see 876 USD, but the actual retail price of the S20 FE 5G in the US will likely be significantly cheaper.
