Samsung Galaxy S10, S10e, S10+ and S10 Lite Android 11 Update Status

Android 11 final build is out there now, and speculations for Android 11 are now storming the Android industry. Every year, Samsung delivers some high-end flagships under the S series, and last year’s Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, and S10 Lite are no exception. The S10 Lite was late to join the party and does come with some compromises, but it is still a value-for-money device. Except for the S10 Lite, the other S10 devices came with Android 9 out of the box and received the Android 10-based One UI 2.0 update. The S10 Lite came with Android 10 out of the box. But the question here remains about Android 11, and in this article, we will see about the Android 11 update status for the Samsung Galaxy S10 family.

Will Galaxy S10, S10e, S10+, and S10 Lite get the Android 11 update?

Samsung phones fall under contract to receive two major Android updates. So, going by that time frame, since S10e, S10+, and S10 came with Android 9 out of the box, they will receive an Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update. But chances are that it will be the last update for the trio. Whereas for the S10 lite, we had Android 10 out of the box, so we will see Android 11 update in the S10 lite.

Release Date

We witnessed Samsung pushing out the Android 10-based One UI 2.0 update to the Samsung Galaxy S10+, S10e, and S10 in November last year. However, Samsung was early this year in pushing out the developer beta version of One UI 3.0 (Android 11). So, this indicates an early launch of a stable Android 11 for the S10 lineup. Samsung, being a premium smartphone brand, will try to push out the new update as soon as Google launches Android 11. We now have the final version of Android 11 along with its source code on AOSP, so there will be an early release of stable One UI 3.0 by Samsung for the S10 devices. We should expect the Android 11 beta release for the Galaxy S10 lineup in November 2020.
