Samsung RAM Plus

List of Samsung Galaxy Phones with RAM Plus (Virtual RAM) Feature

The virtual RAM feature is becoming increasingly popular in Android smartphones. Many OEMs, including Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and Xiaomi, have already begun to include virtual RAM in their smartphones. The virtual RAM capacity varies from OEM to OEM, as some offer the option to select your desired virtual RAM space, whereas others provide the capacity by default, and you can simply turn it on and off. Samsung has also joined the list of companies that have introduced Virtual RAM, dubbed RAM Plus, in their Galaxy smartphones.

What is Virtual RAM?

The term “Virtual RAM” has been around for a long time in the world of Android. Previously, users had to root their smartphones to gain access to the virtual RAM feature, but now the companies provide them with custom software skins. The virtual RAM takes some GBs of storage from the device’s internal storage and uses it as virtual RAM. This RAM, however, cannot be as useful as the real one, but in the case of heavy multitasking and usage, some apps and data are stored in virtual RAM, allowing the real RAM to have more free space. So, yeah, it can be a useful feature for you, either directly or indirectly.
