Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy M22 renders and specifications revealed

Samsung is gearing up to launch its Samsung Galaxy M22 smartphone. It has also been certified by Thailand’s NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) with a model number SM-M225FV. And now we have some exclusive renders and specifications to share with you.

Looking at the renders, it seems pretty much similar to the Samsung Galaxy A22. It has a square-shaped camera module at the back housing quad rear cameras. The LED Flashlight is located below the camera module. Looking up into the front, it has a waterdrop notch, and Samsung calls it an Infinity V display. The device will be available in Black, Blue, and White variants.

Starting from the display, the Samsung Galaxy M22 will flaunt a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 720×1600 pixel resolution. Under the hood, it will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is unclear if there will be other configurations as well. Also, one can expand the device’s storage up to 1TB using a MicroSD card slot.

It will offer a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary wide sensor coupled with an 8-megapixel secondary ultrawide, 2-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth camera. There will be a 13-megapixel (f/2.0) front-facing camera housed in a waterdrop notch cutout front. It will be backed by a 5000mAh battery with support of 25W fast wired charging.

The Galaxy M22 will measure a dimension of 159.3 x 74 x 8.4 mm and will weigh 199 g. Connectivity features include GPS location tracking, LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, Dual SIM (nano-SIM), and a 3.5mm headphone jack at last. All the major sensors, like the Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, Light sensor, and Accelerometer, will be present in the device.

As for the pricing, the price of the 128GB variant of the Galaxy M22 was leaked before via tipster Sudhanshu. Going through it, the device could be priced at EUR 239.90 for the 4GB+128GB variant.
