Samsung launched a couple of A-series smartphones this year. This series alone has become one of the best-selling offerings from Samsung. We have seen the Galaxy A10, A30, A50, and more absolutely changing Samsung’s place in the mid-segment market in 2019. We can expect something similar in the coming months as the company has confirmed to launch the successors to these previously appreciated devices.
Now, news has come in about an upcoming successor to the highly-priced A series device, the Samsung Galaxy A90. This will probably be called the Samsung Galaxy A90s. Its battery model number EB-BA907ABYL has been certified by Safetykorea, a certification site where the battery receives a certificate to launch a smartphone in Korea. The Safetykorea listing of the model EB-BA907ABYL was first spotted by Slashleaks’s popular contributor Sudhanshu Ambhore.
It is confirmed that we will soon see the Galaxy A90s (SM-A907F) launching in Korea. The A90 is already in the Korean market now, but for some reason, it is kept away from India. We don’t see the Samsung Galaxy A90 here, so now the question remains if we will ever see this launching in India any time soon. For the price, the A90 in China is a good buy, especially together with Samsung’s OneUI.
The Safetykorea certification site also suggests that the Galaxy A90s will feature a 4,200mAh battery. We don’t have news as to how fast the charger will be. But judging by Samsung’s record, we will probably see an adapter with an output rate of around 25W.
Another thing that we know for sure now is the fact that it will have a 5G variant. As we move to the year 2020, we can stay assured that most of the smartphones this year will have a 5G variant. The Samsung Galaxy A90s is no exception.
On the Galaxy A90, we see a huge 6.7-inch Infinity U Super AMOLED panel with a waterdrop-style notch at the top. For processing, we have the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 running with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. We also see a triple camera setup here with a 48MP primary camera, a wide-angle, and a telephoto lens.
We can expect something similar to this in the Galaxy A90s, too. Maybe a 64MP camera instead of the 48MP shooter and the Snapdragon 855 Plus in place of the standard 855. The rest will be somewhat similar.
