Samsung Galaxy A90 5G to Arrive with 48MP Triple Rear Camera Setup

The Samsung Galaxy A series offers some high-end, gorgeous premium devices. Yes, the S and Note series is still Samsung’s flagship series, but the A-series just comes up with the perfect devices for those who are looking for value-for-money devices from Samsung. Now, as per recent leaks, the next A-series smartphone on offer from Samsung will be the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G. This will be a premium offering, and it is certain from the 5G naming on it. A few leaks have surfaced online about this device, but the most concrete one just came in a few days ago. Here in these leaks, we have actual hands-on photos of the retail box unit of the Galaxy A90 5G.

This leak not only reveals the overall design of the device but also the specifications that will be on offer. The top side of the box reveals the design aspect of the device. It shows a waterdrop-style notch AMOLED display, a step back from the full-screen display of the Galaxy A80. I guess Samsung had to cut some corners to make it more affordable than the S series devices since it is a lower series. And the tag says 5G, so it is undoubtedly a Snapdragon 855 on board. A snapdragon 855 with a rotational camera setup would mean an expensive Galaxy S10-like device, which is not what Samsung aims for with the A-series.

Also, on the side, we see a stainless steel-like design frame, making it look identically classy like the iPhone XS. Now, for the rear side of the device, we have a triple vertical camera setup without any fingerprint scanner. So, we will probably have an in-display fingerprint scanner with the Galaxy A90 5G.

Moving on to the specifications list on the rear side of the box, we see a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED infinity-U display. We also see a Superfast charging tag, meaning it will have the 45W charging speed seen on the Note 10. For the SOC, we have an octa-core processor, and since it is a 5G device, it will most probably be the Snapdragon 855. For storage options, we see a 6GB + 128GB  option. We don’t know if there will be another variant other than this.

As for the optics, we see a 48MP+5MP+8MP setup on the rear side and a 32MP on the front side. It will be a primary + wide-angle + telephoto or depth sensor setup for sure. Now, whether Samsung has gone with the 48MP Sony sensor or their very own 48MP Samsung sensor is something we will have to find out in the future.

Now, since the retail box is already out there with all the details, it is clear that Samsung is ready to launch Galaxy A90 5G for the masses.
