Samsung Galaxy A8+ Hands on Video Leaked Along with Specs

Samsung’s upcoming smartphones, Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8 Plus (2018) have been in many headlines. A few hours ago, their manual appeared on Samsung’s official website. From the previously leaked images and renders, we knew about its looks but not the specs. Today, a hands-on video of the Galaxy A8 Plus (2018) has appeared on YouTube. Though the video quality is not good and doesn’t show the device properly, it reveals the complete specifications.

From the spec sheet provided by the video, the Galaxy A8 Plus (2018) will feature a metal body + 2.5D and 3D Glass and measure 159.9 x 75.7 x 8.3 mm. As expected, the device will have a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ (2220 x 1080p) resolution. The device will have the infinity display currently available in the Galaxy S8 series.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A8 Plus (2018) will be powered by an Octa-core Samsung Exynos 7885 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, 6 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of internal storage, further expandable by a micro SD card. The device will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is backed by a 3500 mAh battery support for Fast Charging. The device will also have a USB TypeC port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

In the optics department, the rear will have a 16 MP camera with PDAF, LED Flash, and 1.7 aperture. The front offers a dual-camera setup consisting of a 16 MP primary camera with 1.9 aperture and a secondary 8 MP camera with 1.9 aperture. The fingerprint sensor is embedded just below the camera sensor, which may provide some discomfort. The device will support Samsung Pay over both NFC and MST. The device will also come with Samsung’s virtual assistance Bixby support.

There is no word on the pricing, though. Looking at all the leaks and the manual appearance, it can be assumed the device will be launched next month.
