Samsung Foldable Phones: X1 & X1 Plus Leaked Details

If we hear about the word foldable phone, the first thing that comes to mind is that it may fold inwards and outwards. We can also say it is a device like a tablet that can be stretched. This is with the help of the OLED panel. Companies like Lenovo, Samsung, and LG have registered patents for many foldable phones.

Samsung also has a patent for a Foldable Phone, Samsung Galaxy X, but we can consider that it may not be the actual name when it is released. There is no detail about the release of the Samsung Galaxy X foldable phone.

Every company has shown its different types of foldable phones in Mobile Events. Samsung Galaxy X1 and X1 Plus may come with a 5-inch phone and stretch or fold out in an 8-inch screen tablet. It has been rumors that Samsung is going to launch two foldable phones. Rumors were that it has a 4K resolution display with 3840×2160 pixels. It may also have a dual rear camera to click high-quality pictures. It runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. There was also a MicroSD card slot. It has a Non-removable battery. Samsung has patented this phone as the Samsung Galaxy X Foldable Phone.

We know Samsung has been working on this technology for many years. Samsung may bring their Samsung Galaxy X foldable phone to the market very soon. Samsung is going to release or launch this foldable phone soon in this year 2018.

Samsung Galaxy X1 and X1 Plus

It is also reported that Samsung will demonstrate its foldable device – Samsung Galaxy X1 and X1 Plus in MWC – Mobile World Congress. Samsung will also try to take a license for the identical Samsung Galaxy X1 and X1 Plus foldable phone at MWC – Mobile World Congress. The device can be unfolded up to a 7-inch screen device. So, it can be said whether it is Mobile or Tablet.

The device may have a 5-inch screen and can be folded up to 7 or 8 inches. This device will look like a wallet when folded and flexible. It will be easy to carry a 7-inch tablet in the form of a wallet of 5 inches. These are just rumored Specifications and Features.

Samsung Named their Foldable Phone as Project Valley

Previously, Samsung named Project Valley, then they changed it to Samsung Galaxy X Foldable Phone, and Now X1 and X1 Plus. It has been featured in many news articles. Samsung introduced foldable display devices at CES 2013 and completed and showed the device in the CES 2014 Private meeting. That was the first foldable device concept. The model number for the Samsung X1 is SM-X9000, and the X1 Plus is SM-X9050.

Samsung Foldable Phones Specifications & Features:

Both phones, Samsung X1 and X1 Plus, featured rich mobiles. The mobile will be very little different from each other. We also want to remind you that there is no official announcement yet about Samsung X1 and X1 Plus Prices, Specifications & Features. All are just rumors that are circulating. So also take a pinch of salt.

Display and Body – It has a multiscreen capacitive touchscreen with a display size of 5inch which can be unfolded up to 8 inches. The display is 2560×1440 pixels.

Chipset – It has a Quad-core processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. It also has 6GB RAM and a variant of Inbuilt 64GB, 128GB, and 256 GB. The memory can be expandable up to 128GB using a MicroSD card.

Battery – The Samsung Foldable Phones also comes with a high-quality battery. It has a 4500mAh Li-Po Battery and gives you high talk time.

Camera – The mobile also has a high-quality camera to click good pictures. It has a Primary Camera of 16MP and Dual LED Flash. Also, it has a Secondary Camera of 16MP.

Connectivity – Samsung Foldable Phones have High connectivity features: Dual SIM slot, 2G, 3G, 4G VoLTE, and EDGE. The phone comes with GPRS and Bluetooth Connectivity.

Other Features – Sensors Accelerometer, Proximity Multimedia Music, Video, MP3, MP4, HTML, Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, and Fingerprint Sensor.

Samsung Foldable Phones Price & Release Date

Update: Samsung’s foldable phone Galaxy Fold was released on September 6, 2019.

The phone is rich in features and is expected to be expensive. There has been no fixed price for the foldable phones, but the expected cost of Samsung Foldable Phones is 58,000 Rs INR in India. There has been no set date for release, but it is expected to be released in MCW – Mobile World Congress in Barcelona 2017 or maybe in the Third or Fourth Quarter of 2017.

Samsung is still discussing the launch of Samsung Foldable Phones. They still have to decide whether they want to launch or not. It may be released in February or March this year. On the other hand, LG is also a tough competitor for Samsung foldable devices. Reports also claim that LG will launch 100,000 Foldable Phones in the 4th quarter of this year. LG also has more advanced technology than Samsung. It is expected that the company may give its technology to other companies like Apple and Huawei. Previously, news was leaked by a Twitter handle @mmddj_china where he claimed that the device would be available for purchase in the third or fourth quarter of 2017.

There were reports that Samsung’s first foldable may be launched at MCW – Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in Late February or 2018.
