Redmi Note 9 5G and Note 9 Pro 5G May Launch on November 24

After the 4G era, 5G is almost ready and a lot of devices are seen to adopt the technology. The Redmi Note 9 series was a blast and Xiaomi is rumoured to launch at least two more devices in the 9 series. The GM of Redmi Lu Weibing, last week also hinted that they will announce two new devices. However, the company didn’t provide any more info.

According to rumours, both the devices will be 5G ready and maybe called the Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. Xiaomi decided to use the MediaTek processor on one of them and Qualcomm processor on the other.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav in his recent tweet said that the official announcement may be made sometime this week and also the launch could take place next Tuesday i.e 24th November. It is possible that both the devices may be available only to China since 5G is still not global but we can’t say anything for sure.

Coming to the specifications, the Redmi Note 9 5G was surfaced on TENAA, the Chinese website where the model number M2007J22C was seen. The listing on the TENAA site made the following speculations for the Redmi Note 9 5G a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, a 6.53-inch full-HD+ IPS display, RAM up to 8GB, and storage up to 256GB. TENAA also suggested a triple rear camera with a primary camera of 48MP. Furthermore, the front camera may come with a punch-hole design at the top-left corner.

Model M2007J17C was also spotted on TENAA. It is believed to be the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. The processor on this one appeared to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G along with a 6.67-inch full-HD+ display. Also, RAM up to 12GB and storage up to 256GB is speculated. On top of it, it may come with a quad-camera module with a 108MP primary lens. A centrally aligned punch hole camera may be seen on this one.

Both the devices may come with a 120Hz refresh panel with a 240Hz  touch sampling rate. The details like the battery capacity and the Charging type is yet to be revealed.

The price for both the phones are not known officially but a report suggests that the Redmi Note 9 5G may carry a price tag of CNY 1,000 (roughly Rs. 11,300) and the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is said to be priced at CNY 1,500 (roughly Rs. 17,000).
