There is good news for the Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8, Redmi 8 and 8A users. Xiaomi will soon roll out Android 10 for these devices. At the moment, Xiaomi rolled out the beta version of Android 10 for selected users. A lot of companies execute this style where they launch the beta update first to check if there are any improvements to make in the ROM. Users will send feedback about the beta to the Xiaomi to bring some improvements to the OS.
In a recent tweet from Xiaomi Firmware Updater, the Redmi Note 8, Redmi 8 and 8A is undergoing beta testing of Android 10 and will officially roll out when there are no bugs. Xiaomi Firmware Updater is nothing but an open-source community that allows downloadable firmware package files for all Xiaomi phones.
Now that it’s official, Xiaomi users will surely get the update and they can take a nice breathe and wait for the global update.
Moreover, the crucial updates are first rolled out to the Chinese variants of Xiaomi phones. After that, it is pushed globally among users. Even though Android 10 has gone under testing for Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8, Redmi 8 and 8A, it will surely take some time to get their hands on the update.
If there are no bugs in the beta testing, Xiaomi will surely roll out soon and you can experience it.
Talking about the phones now, both Redmi 8 and 8A comes with a 6.22-inch display and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439. Under the hood, both devices have upto 4GB of RAM and upto 64GB of internal storage. Redmi 8 has a dual rear camera (12MP + 2MP) and 8MP for selfies whereas Redmi 8A has a single rear camera of 12MP and there is an 8MP sensor for selfies. The two phones are backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Redmi Note 8 has a 6.39-inch display and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. The chipset has been paired with upto 6GB of RAM and upto 128GB of internal storage. It packs a quad rear camera setup (48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP ) and 13MP sensor for selfies along with 4000 mAh of juice.
