Redmi Note 8 Pro Receives Android 10 with MIUI 11 Version V11.0.2.0.QGGEUXM

The Redmi Note 8, along with its Pro version Redmi Note 8 Pro, was released in late 2019. The Note 8 received the Android 10 OS update a few months back, whereas the Note 8 Pro has yet to receive the update. Until now, the Note 8 Pro was running with the latest MIUI 11 based on the ancient Android 9 Pie.

In a recent tweet, Alvin Tse, GM of Xiaomi Indonesia, confirms that Android 10 will surely roll out among users outside China. As of now, a beta stable version of Android 10 has been released in Pakistan and European countries. But at least it is not only limited to China.

Since the Redmi Note 8 Pro has the MediaTek Helio G90T SoC, optimizing the Android 10 for this chipset may have caused such a delay. The full stable version of the Android will be released soon globally without any bugs for the Redmi Note 8 Pro users. Currently, the MIUI 11 Beta Global Stable software update is being pushed to random users via OTA. There is no download link available on the official website for the Beta Stable ROM. However, the company says the final stable ROM will be released to the public after a successful preview of the Beta Stable ROM.

The size of the beta stable update is 1.9GB with build number MIUI V11.0.2.0.QGGEUXM. According to the official system changelog, the update will have a stable MIUI based on Android 10 along with the security patch to February 2020. Also, the update increased overall system security along with the optimized localized payment security for Indian users.

The overall UI won’t change much since it is still running the latest MIUI 11, but the update looks pretty decent security-wise. Be sure the phone has at least 5GB of internal storage free and battery charge above 70% for a seamless update.

Talking about the Redmi Note 8 Pro, although it’s a 2019 model, it is still a pretty decent device in 2020 and competes with the recently released Samsung Galaxy M31 phone. The price of the phone has decreased to Rs.13,999 recently, which makes it a great phone for gamers. The phone comes with a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary camera, which is excellent under this price range. The phone also has a battery capacity of 4,500 mAh, which supports fast charging. It has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD screen with 6GB RAM and an Octa-core processor for seamless performance.

Now, the Note 8 Pro will have the latest Android 10 OS update, and it will become the complete package for mid-range users. Until then, keep checking your phone for the latest MIUI 11-based Android 10, and let us know in the comments whether you have received the update or not.
