Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has created a hype in the smartphone market. Redmi launches very affordable and great smartphones and is embraced by a lot of users. A lot of peoples can’t afford high-end phones, but Redmi launches affordable smartphones with pretty great specs for the common man. Redmi launched three smartphones in its Note 7 series viz. Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro, and Note 7S on January, February and May of 2019 respectively. All three devices are affordable and have some amazing specs for that range.
Will Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro, Note 7S Get Android 11?
Recently, Google has announced its Android 11 mobile operating system. Now people are hyped about it and all of them want to know whether their device will support it or not. That’s the same case for the Redmi Note 7 series users too. But unfortunately, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Redmi Note 7S devices are not eligible for Android 11. At the moment, all three devices are running on Android 10. But they came with Android 9 Pie Pre-Installed. According to Xiaomi’s software policy, all Redmi series devices will get only one major OS upgrade. So, Redmi Note 7 lineup is eligible for the Android 10 update. The stable update of Android 10 for Note 7 family was started rolling out in India in August 2020.
The Redmi series is not only eligible for one major OS upgrade but they will still get 3 years of security patch update and MIUI update support for maybe more than 4 years. As of now, all three Note 7 devices have Android 10 Operating system with MIUI 11 on top of it. So, according to the above theory, you will see Android 10 based MIUI 12 for Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro, Note 7S.

Coming to the specs of Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro, Note 7S, all the three devices have a 6.3-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. In the chipset section, the Note 7 and Note 7S has the Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor and the Note 7 Pro has the Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor. The Redmi Note 7 has 4 variants viz. 32GB/3GB RAM, 64GB/4GB RAM, 64GB/6GB RAM, 128GB/4GB RAM. Furthermore, the Redmi Note 7 Pro has 3 variants viz. 64GB/4GB RAM, 64GB/6GB RAM, 128GB/6GB RAM. Last but not the least, the Redmi Note 7S has 2 variants viz. 32GB/3GB RAM, 64GB/4GB RAM. All three devices have the same dual setup camera with the main rear camera of 48MP and 13MP for selfies. The battery juice for all three of them is 4000mAh with 18W fast charging.
