The Redmi Note series is one of the most anticipated phones of the year. The next generation of the Note series has surfaced on the web for a while now. Many sources suggested that the upcoming Redmi Note 12 series will be launching in October. And now, the launch date is official. The Chinese company has confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 series will launch on October 27 at 7 p.m. local time in China.
Redmi Note fans are very excited about this series. We can find a few of the key specs of the Redmi Note 12 series in the official poster shared on Weibo. We can see the camera module of the Redmi Note 12 series in the poster. It is a triple-camera setup with a horizontal LED flash module. The camera module design is, in fact, very similar to that of the Redmi Note 11T Pro series. We can also see that the Redmi Note 12 series will come in two different colors, from what we can understand: blue and black. There could be other colors, too.
So, what models can we expect in the Redmi Note 12 series? Well, a JD listing suggests that the Redmi Note 12 series will comprise four devices: the Note 12, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and the Note 12 Pro Extreme Edition. So we could also see an “Extreme Edition” in the Redmi Note lineup. We may also see other models of the Redmi Note lineup, such as the Redmi Note 12S.
Redmi Note 12 Series Expected Specifications
As for the specifications and key features of the Redmi Note 12 series, we don’t have much official information right now. However, we will surely see Xiaomi teasing the Redmi Note 12 series’ key features one by one as the launch approaches. Nevertheless, the poster highlights “Image Awakening” in Chinese, meaning the Redmi Note 12 series will bring a stellar photography experience.
Some rumors suggest the Redmi Note 12 series will have an AMOLED display with 90Hz and 120Hz refresh rates across different models. The “Pro” models are expected to be powered by the newly released MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset and have a 200MP primary camera. Also, the highest-end Redmi Note 12 model is expected to support 210W fast charging.
The Redmi Note 12 series looks promising, as per the rumors. The Note 12 series is expected to capitalize on the “Double 11” shopping festival in China, which will be held on November 11, 2022. As for the global launch, the Redmi Note 12 series is expected to debut in Europe, India, and other countries by Q1 2023.
