Redmi K30 Pro 5G with Snapdragon 865 SoC Launching in March 2020

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is planning to launch its flagship smartphone, which will be dubbed the Redmi K30 Pro. Its predecessor, Redmi K20 Pro, was well received by the customers, and now its successor, K30 Pro, is creating the same hype among users. But now, we have some confirmed news regarding its launch timeline and processor.

Today, Xiaomi confirmed the launch date of the most anticipated and awaited smartphone, Redmi K30 Pro. The confirmation comes from Xiaomi’s Vice President and Redmi Brand’s General Manager, Lu Weibing. He shared an announcement poster through the Chinese social media platform Weibo that confirms the highly-awaited Redmi K30 Pro will arrive in March 2020 with 5G connectivity. However, the poster didn’t reveal a specific launch date.

In the same poster, it is seen that the phone doesn’t have a punch-hole camera, which confirms that the phone may have a pop-up selfie camera.

Furthermore, in a follow-up post on Weibo, Lu Weibing has confirmed that the K30 Pro will come with Qualcomm’s flagship processor, Snapdragon 865, that bundles an X55 5G modem for 5G connectivity.

If we believe the recent rumors, the phone may come with a 64MP Sony IMX686 Quad camera setup on the back and a 4700 mAh battery with 33W wired charging. Some rumors have even claimed the rear design will be similar to its recently launched younger sibling, Redmi K30. That means we can expect a round-shaped design on the back in which the triple camera module is placed vertically. We expect the company will reveal more details regarding the phone soon to create some hype ahead of its official launch.

Recently, Realme and iQOO have launched their flagship device, Realme X50 Pro 5G and iQOO 3 5G, respectively, with Snapdragon 865 SoC. The X50 Pro comes with a starting price tag of Rs 37,999, while the iQOO 3’s starting price has been set at Rs 36,990. The upcoming Redmi K30 Pro 5G will be a direct competitor to both of them. So, let’s hope the K30 Pro price isn’t too aggressive.
