A lot of new flagship devices will start getting the latest OS update, known as Android 11. POCO, which was earlier a sub-brand of Xiaomi and now a standalone company, also didn’t hold back. The new Poco X2, launched on 11th February 2020, confirmed that they will not let down the users and will roll the latest Android 11 to the device soon. The company confirmed it in a recent press release.
Poco X2 Android 11 Update Status
The brand’s General Manager C Manmohan tweeted about the announcement. He shared a banner regarding the declaration, quoting, “Keeping the promise of making the best even better!”. As of now, Poco X2 carries the latest Android 10, which is widely available in most of the devices. Earlier, the Pocophone F1 from a sub-brand of Xiaomi was a huge success among Indian users. Now, the standalone Poco X2 is also another huge success, and the Android 11 announcement has even created more hype among the users.

At present, the company has not announced a timeline other than promising an Android 11 software update for X2. But, soon, we will get more clarity on that in the coming months. Currently, Android 11 stable and beta versions are rolling out to all eligible devices (specifically OEM’s flagship devices) through an OTA for easier public install. Poco F2 Pro users have also reportedly started getting the taste of Android 11 beta.
Now, a tweet from Poco India suggests that the company will open the Android 11 beta program for Poco X2 users. However, Poco X2 users will have to wait for a couple of months, probably till December 2020, for a stable Android 11 update based on MIUI 12. Currently, Poco has started pushing out MIUI 12 update (Android 10 Based) for Poco X2.
