Pixel 10 Spotted in Public: Reveals AI Features and Design

The Pixel 10 series will launch in a couple of months. From reliable leaks, we already have a good idea about the specs of the device. We also got very high-quality renders of the phones, but now, there’s already a real-world appearance of the Pixel 10.

Recently, there was a commercial shoot in Vancouver. It offers a glimpse into Google’s design plans for the Google Pixel 10. The leak shows an image of the Pixel 10, taken while the production crew was filming an advertisement for the device. Real-world images of Pixels almost always leak months before the launch, and this is no exception.

These photos were captured by the photographer Mark Teasdale. We’re not sure whether the device is the Pixel 10 or Pixel 10 Pro, since they both look remarkably similar. However, the design is mostly similar to Pixel 9 series. The same flat sides, square design, and the leaked photo shows the phone in the Obsidian color.

These photos were taken at a beach filming session, and it consisted of over 20 crew members. The photographer Mark Teasdale took some photos of the device, and also reveals the advertisement’s content. It’s apparently an ad for some AI features. It features the phrase “Ask more of your phone.” That is likely an ad for Gemini Live AI and some camera tools.

A standout feature is “Add Me.” We first saw this on the Pixel 9, and it’s a very useful feature. It intelligently merges information from multiple photos to include everyone in group photos. It also adds the photographer to the group shot, and we can use it to capture memories without leaving anyone out.

The leak also shows familiar design elements- like the horizontal visor style camera bar, the power button, and the volume rocker. It’s similar to the current Pixel look, with not many changes. The image leaks are also in line with the renders we saw a few months ago.

The Pixel 10 series will debut in August and will run Android 16 out of the box. Android 16 is already out for Pixels, so you can download it right now if you’re on a Pixel. It features the new Material Expressive design, a new Quick Settings design that’s more playful, a lot of blur implementation in the UI, better animations, new Lock Screen options, and more.

The Pixel 10 will use the Tensor G5 chipset, made in partnership with TSMC, so we can expect substantial performance improvements, especially in thermal management. The camera leaks are not particularly impressive. We have the same setup for the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL. However, the base model sees a downgrade. The main sensor is now much smaller, and so is the ultrawide, all in favor of a new zoom camera.
