Samsung Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 India Launch Confirmed Through BIS Certification

The Samsung Galaxy A50 and A70 have been an excellent hit for customers looking for a mid-range device. Now, the company is working on its successors. They will be called the Samsung Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71, according to EUIPO Trademark Filing. The battery models of both of them have received clearance from the Board of Indian Standards (BIS). It is a necessary certification required by any device planning to launch in India. So, we will soon see these two devices making their way into the Indian market.

The battery models EB-BA515ABY and EB-BA715ABY were added on October 7, 2019, on the BIS portal. These battery model numbers match the Galaxy A51’s SM-A515F and Galaxy A71’s SM-A715F model.

The Samsung Galaxy A71’s model SM-A715F was also spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, which revealed that the processor inside the device will be the Snapdragon 675. It will also come with 8GB of RAM, which is a lot considering the processor at bay is just a 600 series processor. On the single-core test on Geekbench, the A71 scored 2540 points, and on the multi-core test, it scored 7081 points.

Getting into exact details, we have some recent leaks that suggest that we will see a 6.7-inch FHD+ infinity-U Super AMOLED panel on the A71 with a huge 4,500 mAh battery to offer a very high screen on time. On top of it, the leak suggests that the A71 will come with Android 10 with One UI 2.0 out of the box. And for the cameras, on the rear side of the device, we will see a quad setup with a 48MP primary shooter, a 12MP telephoto sensor, a 12MP wide-angle shooter, and a TOF(time of flight) sensor.

As for the Galaxy A51, GalaxyClub.nl reports that it will run on the upcoming Exynos 9630 chipset under the hood to power the device’s performance. And for the cameras, we can expect a 32MP primary shooter, a 12MP wide-angle shooter, a 12MP telephoto shot for 2x lossless optical zoom, and an additional 5MP depth sensor for the bokeh shots. For the storage options, we will see two variants: one is the 64GB variant, and the other is the 128GB variant, and both will be available in Silver, Black, and Blue color variants. Nothing certain is known about the A51’s display or battery. But we can expect new leaks in the coming days that might give us a clearer picture of the A51.
