Samsung Galaxy A01 may Launch Soon as it Receives FCC, NBTC & BIS Certification

Samsung’s A-series devices are pretty popular in the smartphone industry. If you want the best Samsung experience without spending a lot, then A series of devices are just great. The cheapest A series device so far is the A10, but we are receiving leaks about an even cheaper A series device from Samsung. Two model numbers have come forward, SM-A015F and SM-A015F/DS; one is the single SIM version, and the other is the dual SIM version, respectively. The name for this device has been confirmed as the Samsung Galaxy A01.

Now, as per the FCC certification, some specifications have been confirmed. Firstly, we will have a dual-camera setup on the back with no physical or optical fingerprint sensor. A 3.5mm audio jack will be present on the smartphone. In terms of battery, we have a 3,000 mAh battery. We might see a face unlock feature on this device, as there are no signs of a fingerprint sensor in the FCC. As an entry-level smartphone, Samsung will make a few cost cuttings, and bio-metric protection might be one of them.

Additionally, Geekbench data suggests that Samsung Galaxy A01 will have an octa-core Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It will run on Android 10 out of the box, and that’s the selling point for Samsung here. They will try to offer a close-to-premium software experience at a fraction of the price of a premium device.

The model SM-A015F/DS has also received certification from Thailand’s NBTC and India’s BIS, hinting at an imminent launch. The BIS listing doesn’t reveal any other details about the device. However, the NBTC listing indicates that SM-A015F/DS will be called the Samsung Galaxy A01.

Nothing else regarding this device is known now, but as an entry-level smartphone, we can expect an HD+ resolution display with a plastic built overall.
