Realme 5s Gets Certified by Thailand’s NBTC, Could Launch Soon

Realme 5 series was launched in August 2019, which includes Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. It seems the company is now preparing another smartphone for its 5 series. Today, we have spotted a new realme device with model number RMX1925 and a marketing name Realme 5s  on Thailand’s NBTC website.

Sadly, the NBTC listing has not revealed any details of the device apart from GSM / WCDMA / LTE support, Manufacturer factory as “Realme Chongqing Mobile Telecommunications Corp. Ltd., PR China,” and Country of production as “China.” The model RMX1925 also received BIS certification on October 18, 2019, which suggests that the phone will arrive in India.

Previously, the company used the “i” suffix on Realme 3i, and it was launched as a watered-down version of the Realme 3. But It’s the first time Realme will use the “s” suffix. Judging the naming strategy, Realme 5s could be launched as an upgrade over the Realme 5 with a better processor (Snapdragon 675?) and camera. Realme 5 has been priced at Rs 9,999 for the base model, so we expect the upcoming Realme 5s will be around Rs 10,999.

Realme 5s has obtained certification from various platforms, so we believe the phone may launch soon.

Regarding the Realme 5 and 5 Pro, both phones have quad rear cameras and run on ColorOS 6-based Android 9 Pie. The Realme 5 Pro gets a 48MP primary camera, while Realme 5 gets a 12MP main camera. The other three sensors(8MP ultra-wide-angle, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP portrait lens) are identical for both devices.

Realme 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 665 processor based on an 11nm process, while the Realme 5 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 712 processor based on a 10nm process.

Realme 5 and 5 Pro pack a 5,000mAh battery and a 4,035mAh battery(supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging), respectively.

Realme 5 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+  Mini drop display with a resolution of 720×1600, while the Realme 5 Pro gets a 6.3-inch FHD+ Mini drop display with a resolution of 1080×2340.
