Poco M2 Pro Android 11

When will Poco M2 Pro Get Android 11 Update Based on MIUI 12?

The standalone company Poco made its name in the Indian market. Earlier, Poco was a sub-brand of Xiaomi, but later, they decided to go all solo. Poco launched several smartphones like Poco F1, F2 Pro, and X2 in its bag. Recently, Poco launched another smartphone under the name Poco M2 Pro. The phone came out on the 7th of July 2020. Google launched its Android 11 beta testing program earlier in June, and the M2 Pro users are worried about whether they will receive the new update. So, let’s check the facts and see whether your device is eligible or not.

Poco M2 Pro Android 11 Status

Since Poco M2 Pro was launched recently, the device came with the pre-installed Android 10 OS. If we check the previous track records, Poco has the habit of giving two major OS upgrades. As the device is an Android 10 smartphone, it will surely get the Android 11 update and may be eligible for Android 12 when it’s out. Poco M2 Pro is a mid-range phone with the latest Qualcomm 720G SoC, so you can rest assured that it will receive the new Android 11 update. At the moment, the device has the MIUI 11 skin, but in September 2020, you may get the latest Android 10-based MIUI 12 skin. Android 11-based MIUI 12 will be rolled out later to Poco M2 Pro.

Expected Release Date

Google always prioritizes their smartphones first when they launch a new OS. So, the Pixel devices will receive the stable Android 11 OS first; then, they will slowly spread their OS to other devices. So, don’t expect the update this year. Poco M2 Pro will get the update to Android 11 probably in Q1 2021, between January and March.
