Leaks are now confirmed about a new upcoming Oppo device named “Oppo K3” targeting the mid-range section. Almost all of the specifications have finally surfaced on China Telecom’s website, along with its price, render, and release date.
As per the China Telecom listing, Oppo K3 will sport a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. In the optics department, we have a standard 16MP+2MP dual-sensor setup on the rear. The cameras, Oppo logo, and “Designed by Oppo” branding are vertically placed down the middle of the panel. Following the 2019 trend, this device will come with a pop-up 16MP selfie shooter, which rises from the top center. Though the renders of the smartphone are blurry, we can see its pop-up selfie camera, which is present at the top center.
Under the hood, we have the new Snapdragon 710 chipset powering the device for the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. The 6GB variant is also mentioned in the website’s basic information section, so we can expect one 6GB variant to feature on the launch day. For storage, we have 128GB onboard the device with options for expandability. The Oppo K3 measures 161.2 x 76 x 9.4 mm, and it weighs 191g. The smartphone is pre-installed with Android 9 Pie OS.
Surprisingly, the phone has kept the 3.5mm headphone jack as well as equipped with a 3,680mAh battery with a 20W charger out of the box. The phone also stays future-proof with a Type C port. The phone comes in three colors: Nebula purple, Secret Black, and Morning White.
The phone is priced at 2199 yuan($322) for the 8GB/128GB variant. It is expected that the 6GB/128GB version will be priced at 1999 yuan($292).
The listing also reveals that the K3 will be released in China on June 1. There is no word yet on whether Oppo plans to launch K3 globally. Hopefully, it will be on sale for markets outside China too.
These are just leaks, and no official word has yet come from Oppo. We will have to wait a few days to get the official information.
