In the first place, the specification of OnePlus Z may include a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with the resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20:9 and the pixel density of 405 PPI. We may see moderate bezels, a flatter screen, and a punch-hole selfie camera in the middle. Above all, it is rumoured to be powered by Snapdragon 765 or MediaTek Dimensity 1000 processor paired with upto 8GB of RAM and upto 128GB of internal storage.
Update June 30: OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that the much-rumoured OnePlus Z/ 8 Lite will actually be called OnePlus Nord 5G.
Update June 15: According to the latest reports, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone may pack a quad-camera set-up and it will likely be called OnePlus Nord rather than the previously rumoured, OnePlus Z/ 8 Lite.

Update June 8: The upcoming Oneplus mid-range 5G device will reportedly make its debut on July 10. Also, a leaked survey has been surfaced online via DesiDime which suggest that OnePlus Z will pack 6.55-inch Super AMOLED 90Hz display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. It will run on Snapdragon 765 SoC along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The battery capacity will be 4300 mAh and there will be a 30W fast charging tech. We may see 64MP + 16MP + 2MP triple camera setup and a 16MP hole-punch front camera. The device will likely be priced at Rs. 24,990.
Update May 1: It seems the company have just changed its decision. Tipster Max J claims the OnePlus Z will be equipped with Qualcomm’s premium mid-range Snapdragon 765 SoC, and not the Dimensity 1000, as suggested before. So, the unfortunate thing here is that the Dimensity 1000 is much powerful than Snapdragon 765. However, Qualcomm’s chipset has better support for developers and custom ROMs from the community.

Update April 28: Popular tipster Max J in his latest tweet reveals that the OnePlus Z is coming in the month of July 2020. The much-rumoured affordable OnePlus Z (or 8 Lite) is likely real if we look into the pricing details of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. The company may need another phone to target the mainstream market.

The phone will run on the Android 10 operating system with Oxygen OS 10 on top of it. It could be equipped with a 4300 mAh non-removable battery with 30W fast charging support.
In the camera department, the OnePlus Z may sport triple rear camera setup with 64MP + 16MP + 2MP. In contrast, on the front, the phone may arrive with a 16MP sensor.
It could be available in Gray, Red and Blue colours.
The OnePlus Z price in India could be Rs. 24,990 for the base model.
The OnePlus Z will likely be launched on July 10, 2020.
