OnePlus 8T Tipped to Feature 6.55-inch 120Hz Display, 48MP Quad Camera and Snapdragon 865+ SoC

As we all know, OnePlus releases two flagship devices yearly, and this year will be no different. Maybe next month, OnePlus will launch its OnePlus 8T. Now, Android Central has leaked some exclusive information about the device. They said the phone will come with two refresh rate modes for the display: a 60Hz mode and a 120Hz mode, and the latter will be selected out of the box.

The report further claims that OnePlus’s new flagship, OnePlus 8T, will have a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel. OnePlus is currently working with Kebab (Codename for OnePlus 8T); it is speculated to come with a Quad rear camera setup. Of those four cameras, leaks suggest that it will come with a 48MP primary lens, a 16MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP portrait lens. But the leak also suggests that the OnePlus 8T will come with a new camera sensor. So, we can expect some photo quality improvement from this device.

About storage and RAM leaks, it says it will come with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. For SoC, well, the choice is pretty obvious for this one: it’s Snapdragon 865+ for the OnePlus 8T.

Leaks also confirm that OnePlus 8T will run on OxygenOS 11 with Android 11 out of the box. But this leak doesn’t mention battery capacity or charging speed, although TUV Rheinland Japan certification suggests that it might come with a 65W fast charging option.

A few days back, the OxygenUpdater website reported that they had found an image of the OnePlus 8T on the OnePlus 8 lineup’s Android 11 DP. The image shows the front look of the upcoming OnePlus 8T with a flat display and a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner.

Looking at the earlier OnePlus device release patterns, we can expect that We might see the OnePlus 8T launched in 1st week of October 2020. Also, Android Central said the same about the release time.
