Motorola One Macro Certified by NCC in Taiwan, May Launch Soon

After launching Motorola One Vision, One Action, and One Zoom under its One branding, the company plans to launch yet another smartphone, which will be called Motorola One Macro. On September 20, 2019, a Motorola phone with model number XT2016-1 was certified by NCC, Taiwan’s certification agency. Sadly, the certification doesn’t reveal anything except that it will support Taiwan 4G full frequency band, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

A few days ago, the same model number, i.e., XT2016-1, appeared on Thailand’s NBTC, which reveals that XT2016-1 will be called Motorola One Macro. The document didn’t reveal other details apart from revealing the marketing name.

The company has not revealed any information about the phone’s launch date and availability. However, both NBTC and NCC certifications hint that the Motorola One Macro is close to launch.

The Motorola One Macro was also spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, which revealed some key details of the upcoming phone. According to the Geekbench listing, the phone will arrive with an octa-core processor (likely Helio P60 SoC) clocked at 1.9GHz, 2GB of RAM, and an Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box. The phone has scored 1,429 points on the single-core performance test and 5,584 points on the multi-core performance test.

A live image of the Motorola One Macro was also spotted via XDA-Developers online, which showed that the phone will feature a waterdrop notch display with a single selfie camera with rounded corners. The device has a purple-colored power key button, a large bezel on the bottom, and a volume rocker on the right side.
