In this aggressive battle among gaming smartphones, Xiaomi introduced a new gaming phone in its Black Shark Series. At present, few details regarding the upcoming Black Shark 3 have been rumored. But in a recent Weibo post, the company hinted that the phone may come up with a massive juicy 5000 mAh battery, which is a common thing in present smartphones. To fuel up that huge amount of battery, the company is likely to provide a 65W brick with fast charging technology.
The CEO of Black Shark, Luo Shao, is looking to strike a balance between the battery capacity and charging power of the smartphone. Since it’s a 5G-enabled game-centric phone, the phone will go through a heavy load scenario. So, to overcome this, the company is trying to improve the battery capacity as well as its charging and discharging rates. Since the heat is an important issue in smartphones. The company is also focusing on making a temperature-reduction design for seamless gaming.
Even the senior executive started a poll on different battery and charging rates. The company wants to know what combination the users would like on their 5G gaming smartphones. The company listed four arrangements:
- 65W + 5000 mAh, 100% charge in 38 minutes, cycle life> 800
- 55W + 4500 mAh, 100% charge in 40 minutes, cycle life> 600
- 65W + 4000 mAh, 100% charge in 30 minutes, cycle life> 600
- 55W + 4440 mAh, 100% charge in 36 minutes, cycle life> 600
The chief architect said that since it’s a 5G gaming smartphone, it will need a more complex and aggressive power system and even suggested voting for the 65W + 5000 mAh variant, which, of course, we all agree.
The Black Shark 3 is rumored to come with a massive 2K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate panel for fluid gaming. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, which supports X55 5G modem, may power the phone with a huge 12GB LPDDR5 RAM. Since it will be a flagship device, it may support the latest WIFI 6 along with NFC. Under the hood, the phone also possesses the trendy SA and NSA dual-mode 5G.
