Towards the end of every year, Qualcomm launches their flagship processors to power the flagship phones in the following year. Last year it was the Snapdragon 865. This year we have the Snapdragon 888. But the SD888 processor is not the only 800 series processor from Qualcomm that we have seen this year. A new Snapdragon 800 series processor called the Snapdragon 860 has also been introduced.

This new processor is less powerful than the current leaders, that is the 888, 870, 865+, and 865. As per Qualcomm’s numbering system, we expected that it will be better than 2019’s flagship the Snapdragon 855+. But, Qualcomm has just renamed their old 855+ chipset to 860 for marketing purposes in 2021. In this article, you will know everything about Qualcomm’s 860 Chipset.

Poco X3 Pro

Poco X3 Pro includes a 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 450nits brightness, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. We get Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 860 SoC which is a 7nm chipset with a maximum clock speed of 2.96 GHz. The device has LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus that helps in cooling at the time of intensive tasks. Poco X3 Pro is available in two memory configurations: 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB RAM. The POCO X3 Pro sports a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor coupled with an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and two 2MP units. It packs a 20MP camera in front for selfies. It is equipped with a 5160 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The device runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12 custom skin on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, Dual-band Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C port for charging.

Realme X7 Pro Player

Two Realme X7 phones namely X7 and X7 Pro are now available in the market. There have been reports recently claiming the inclusion of a third device in the X7 lineup. And it will be called the X7 Pro Player. The  X7 Pro packs the Dimensity 1000+ but the X7 Pro Player Edition will likely come with the latest Snapdragon 860 SoC. It will definitely be powerful and will go game in hand with devices running on the Snapdragon 855 right now.

Talking about tablets, Xiaomi unveiled a tablet for the global market called Xiaomi Pad 5. In terms of specifications, Xiaomi Pad 5 packs a large 11-inch LCD panel with 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 275 ppi. The Pad 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 860 chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB/256GB ROM. It features a single 13MP camera with an LED flash at the rear. There is a single 8MP camera at the front for selfies.
