Along with the Snapdragon 460 SoC, Qualcomm has launched the Snapdragon 662 processor, which will be housed in affordable 4G smartphones. The Snapdragon 662 processor is the first among the 600-series of Qualcomm to come with HEIF support. This will allow users to store high-quality photos at half the size. Packed with a Qualcomm Kyro 260 CPU and Qualcomm Adreno 610 GPU, the processor delivers high performance and a smooth user experience. The 3rd generation Qualcomm AI engine, together with the Qualcomm Sensing Hub, makes the device more responsive and easy to control and navigate through apps. Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 Processor Features
The Snapdragon 662 chip is built with 11nm Process Technology and has an octa-core CPU unit. It is built with a Qualcomm Kyro 260 CPU, which shows a clock speed up to 2GHz. At the same time, the GPU unit of the processor is built with a Qualcomm Adreno 610 GPU unit. The GPU unit will have higher graphics rendering speed than the 400-series Qualcomm processor.
Talking about the camera unit, the processor has a Qualcomm Spectra 340T image signal processor with up to a three-camera setup. The primary camera sensor can capture photos up to 48MP, while the other two cameras can capture photos up to 25MP. The sensor can capture slow-motion video up to 1080p at 60 fps. Additional features of the camera unit are HEIF photo capture, HEIC photo capture, and HEVC video capture format. The processor is built with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X11 LTE modem, which supports LTE dual sim dual standby. The peak LTE download speed is up to 390 Mbps, and LTE peak Upload Speed is up to 150 Mbps.

The Oppo F17 smartphone houses the Snapdragon 662 processor. The smartphone comes with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display and a dimension of 159.8×72.8×7.45 mm. It packs 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The rear side features a quad-camera setup with a 16MP main camera sensor and an 8MP secondary camera. The other two camera units are of 2MP. The front camera is 16MP, which is housed on the waterdrop notch of the device. A 4015mAh battery with a 30W charger backs it.
