Android 13 is available now on most devices. Many Android OEMs have started pushing their respective Operating System software updates (both Beta and Stable versions) to their devices that are eligible for the Android 13 update. A Chinese and renowned brand, OnePlus, has also been predominantly pushing Android 13-based Oxygen OS 13 to eligible devices.
Users and fans are curious about when their smartphones will get that significant update. To answer that question, the OnePlus Community has shared Oxygen OS 13 Beta rollout timeline until the half of 2023 (H1 2023). But in this article, we will talk about the OnePlus Nord CE, Nord CE 2, and Nord CE 2 Lite devices exclusively about their timeline for receiving the Android 13-based Oxygen OS 13 update.
The recent OnePlus 10 Pro 5G has received a stable Oxygen OS 13 update. And last year’s OnePlus 9 5G and OnePlus 9 Pro 5G are receiving Beta versions of the update. As per the released schedule or timeline of Oxygen OS 13 Beta by OnePlus, the OnePlus Nord CE, Nord CE 2, and Nord CE 2 Lite will receive their share as follows:
OnePlus Nord CE, CE 2, and CE 2 Lite OxygenOS 13 (Android 13) Update Status
Update November 18: OnePlus has announced the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 Open Beta program for Nord CE 2 Lite 5G in India. The company will invite 1000 users who meet the requirements (active OnePlus Community members) to attend the open Beta Program. Make sure your device has been updated to version: CPH2381_11.A.13. To apply, go to the About device section > Tap up to date and apply for the Beta program by filling in the required information.
According to the released timeline of the Oxygen OS 13 Beta update, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G will receive the Android 13 Beta update in Q4 2022 (November or December 2022), followed by the OnePlus Nord CE 5G and the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will receive the update somewhere in H2 2023 (Anywhere between January to June 2023).
OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G
The device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G Chipset. It has a 6.43-inch fluid AMOLED display with a 90 Hz fast refresh rate. The device has a 4500 mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC fast charging support. Talking about the optics, the device has an AI-Infused Triple rear camera wherein the primary camera is 64MP, and the other two are 2MP depth and macro, respectively, and a 16MP selfie camera. It has 6 GB or 8 GB RAM with 128 storage. (Expandable up to 1 TB). The device was launched with Oxygen OS 11 based on Android 11. So, the device will get Oxygen OS 13 based on Android 13.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G Chipset. It comes with a 6.59 Inches IPS LCD with a 120 Hz fast refresh rate. The device has a 5000 mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support. In the camera department, the device has a triple rear camera set-up with a primary camera of 64MP (With EIS). The other two are 2MP depth and macro, respectively, and a 16MP Sony IMX 471 selfie shooter. The device was launched with Android 12 and is eligible for Android 13-based Oxygen OS 13. Though, we are unsure about the upcoming major software updates for OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G Chipset. It has a 6.43 Inches fluid AMOLED display with a 90 Hz fast refresh rate of 2400 × 1080 Pixels resolution. The device has a 4500 mAh battery with 30W Warp Charging support. Talking about the optics, it has a 64MP (Primary lens) + 8MP (Ultrawide lens) + 2MP (Macro lens) triple rear camera set-up with a 16MP front camera. The device was launched with Oxygen OS 11 based on Android 11, and Oxygen OS 13 will likely be the last major update it will receive.
It should be noted that the release schedule of Android 13 is for Beta updates. So the stable update might take some extra months. So, if you have any of the three devices, then you should try for the Beta updates rolling out to the devices as per the shared timeline by OnePlus. OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G users are more fortunate as they will be receiving Oxygen OS 13 Beta first among the three devices mentioned.
