Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of its flagship smartphone OnePlus 6 on May 17 in China. According to the new reports, the smartphone will also be available in a special Avengers Infinity War edition. The smartphone today made an appearance in appearance in Chinese regulatory website TENAA with model number OnePlus A6000 where the entire list of specifications has been revealed.
A TENAA listing is usually accompanied by the official images of the smartphone, but in this case, we get none. From the listing, the OnePlus 6 features a 6.28 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of FHD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 19:9 due to the presence of the top notch. The smartphone measures 155.7 x 75.35 x 7.75 mm and weighs 179 grams.
The OnePlus 6 will be powered by a 2.45 GHz Octa-core chipset which is likely to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. The TENAA listing mentions only the 6 GB RAM Variant with 256 GB internal storage. From previous reports, it is rumoured that the smartphone will also offer 8 GB RAM variant along with 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage options. The OnePlus 6 flagship will sport a dual camera setup in the rear consisting of a 20 MP primary sensor and a 16 MP secondary sensor. On the front, it offers a 16 MP camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo.
As for the availability, the company will be launching the smartphone in India on the same day. Last month True-Tech.Net revealed the price of 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB variant to be 3,299 Yuan, 3,799 Yuan and 4,399 Yuan respectively. The website also revealed the pricing in India to be Rs 36,999 and Rs 39,999 for the 64 GB and 128 GB variants. It is also rumoured that the 256 GB will eventually be launched in India. The company said it would be holding pop-up events around the world on May 21 where fans can buy the smartphone along with some freebies before the official launch of the smartphone.
