The OnePlus 5T White Sandstone variant is set to debut on January 5, tomorrow. Other than the device featuring white sandstone material, we didn’t have any ideas about the look of the device until now. Official renders of the White Sandstone variant reached the Chinese online retailer JD.com earlier this evening. This variant will make the OnePlus 5T available in three color options, the other two being Midnight Black and Lava Red, and a special Star Wars edition.
The White Sandstone variant will be sporting black bezels and a completely white black. The volume rocker and the power button are in black, but the “do not disturb button” is painted red, which reminds a bit of the Star Wars edition. Besides the rear dual cameras, the circular fingerprint sensor is in the same place without any changes.
Like the Star Wars edition, the White Sandstone variant will only be available for the higher variant with 8 GB of RAM. The other specs will remain the same. The device will sport a 6.01-inch full HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 401 ppi pixel density, and protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. An Octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC powers the device, clocked at up to 2.45GHz, paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
There is a dual (16 MP +20 MP ) rear camera setup and a 16 MP camera on the front. The cameras have improved portrait mode, low-light photography, and video stabilization because of f/1.7 aperture and 27.22 mm focal length, enabling better low-light photos. There are also face unlocking features. There is a fingerprint sensor on the rear. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0 with aptX and aptX HD, dual-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac with MIMO 2×2, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C (v2.0) port. Sensors onboard the OnePlus 5T include an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, digital compass, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and an RGB sensor.
The device will come with a price tag of 349 yuan( Rs 34,105 approx) and is expected to be available worldwide, including China, where the Star Wars edition is unavailable.
