OnePlus 5T Images Leaked With the Tagline “Larger Screen Same Footprint”

The next smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus will be the OnePlus 5T; there is no doubt about that. With the recent rumors, gossip, and leaks, we can assume the company is well set to unveil the upgraded version of the OnePlus 5 and the next smartphone in the T range. Interestingly, an invite was sent regarding the announcement, which OnePlus said was not genuine.

A new set of images has leaked online, which seems to be taken from the official site of OnePlus. The OnePlus.net address is quite visible in the address bar. The device appears almost the same as predicted and looks almost like it is to be released by Oppo F5. One of the images carries the OnePlus 5T tagline “Larger screen. Same footprint. “which can be decoded as the device will have an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The display also features flat edges. Unlike the OnePlus 5, no fingerprint scanner is on the front, likely to be shifted to the device’s backside. The backside looks the same with the matte black finish. The alert slider is also expected to come back and will be placed on the left side of the device.

A new picture was leaked earlier on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, which looks like the OnePlus 5T. The fingerprint sensor was seen moved to the back, and the device will have dual cameras, possibly the same 16-megapixel and 20-megapixels from the OnePlus 5. One lens is regular, while the other is a telephoto lens. The focal length is around 35mm to 40mm. On a note, the OnePlus 3T featured the same back camera as the OnePlus 3. However, the front cam was upgraded from 8 megapixels to 16 megapixels. We can expect the same here with new camera modes like portrait mode.

Various leaks suggest the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor will power the OnePlus 5T. There will be two RAM and memory variants: 6 GB of RAM with 64 GB internal memory and 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB internal memory. The device will run its Oxygen OS based on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo. The screen will likely be a 6-inch full HD+ (1,080 x 2,160 ) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

Though there is no official report of the OnePlus 5T, it is rumored to launch soon, considering the OnePlus 5T is out of stock.
